The Boards —

Each board spends no-less-than three days in the production line as it moves from roughing, to pouring, to sanding, to laser etching, and finally to the application of our proprietary beeswax sealer.

Choose the board pattern that fits your kitchen and your style.

All boards are covered by a 100% cash-back guarantee.

Live-Edge Boards

Using only Pennsylvania Black Walnut slabs, we remove the bark, split the plank, swap the sapwood toward the center, and fill the gap with food-grade resin colored with our hand-mixed mica flake colors. The boards are elegant, unique, and durable.

Gift Items

Based on our Living Color Charcuterie boards, we add your corporate logo to the face or edge of the board. The high-precision laser etching is filled with resin to create a lasting impression, both figuratively and literally.

It’s Art You Can Use

Based on our Living Color Charcuterie boards, we add objects to the crystal-clear resin to highlight hobbies, interests, and connections. Ranging from Trout to simple river stones, Inclusion Boards are our most requested product.

Sports & University Boards

Based on our Living Color Charcuterie boards, we add the logo of your favorite sports team. Show support for UConn, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, Phillies, Tigers, Eagles, Bengals, Chiefs!

Lanterns

Let the light shine through these old-world style lanterns. Place a candle or LED light inside for an experience that fills a room with joy.

Knife Blocks, Trays, & more

A unique set of products featuring the River Valley Boards Live Edge and Resin theme. You spend hours every week in your kitchen, surround yourself with handmade products that bring you joy and create conversations with friends!

Solid-Wood Boards

Live-Edge Boards are solid planks of Black Walnut with the sapwood still attached. Organic, simple, striking, and incredibly beautiful. Each board is a unique slice of pure natural art.

Charcuterie

We love good snacks! Combine our hand-made boards with hand-selected cheeses, cured meats, flatbread crackers, nuts, and honey to create a “wow” experience.

Functional Art

Our Living Colors are super-sized in this collection of boards that transform the boards into art while retaining their functionality as wonderfully over-sized spreads.

Our story

Bert Breher was a furniture maker in Saint Louis, Missouri. He was my first woodworking instructor. My first lessons began when I was five years old. When I was in middle-school, he taught me to use a lathe. A wooden mallet was my first product which I still use every day in my shop.

I began producing actual furniture in 2002. I began producing charcuterie boards for friends and family in 2023. After I made my sixteenth board, I realized that I could make them for a commercial market.

Every aspect of the boards we produce is engineered, tested, and refined for an experience unlike any other. We source the Black Walnut planks from a single supplier who hand-selects each tree segment for us. Our sealer is hand-made on our stove because we couldn’t find a sealer we liked. We create our food-safe beeswax and Jojoba oil sealer from scratch, one small batch at a time. Our mica colors are mixed into the resin by hand to elicit organic, vibrant displays that are unique to each board.

Each board is produced one at a time, by hand. An incredibly labor-intensive process that produces boards of exceptional quality. The typical reaction from a new customer is, “YOU MADE THIS?!” The workmanship is exacting, meticulous and creative. We offer these boards so you can experience the joy and satisfaction of using extraordinary handmade goods in your extraordinary home.

Our mission

Our mission is to provide a functional cutting board that you are proud to use, cherish, and share with your family and friends. And like the products that my grandfather, Bert Breher produced, will last your lifetime and beyond.

Our boards are as functional as they are beautifully singular. Every board is covered by a 30-day 100% return and refund policy. We are so confident that you will love the boards, we will pay for your return shipping.
